Dragon Boat Festival 2016

On the 10th September 2016, The Nourishers took to the waters at Bewl Water to race in the Dragon Boat Festival.

It was a fantastic day with a great atmosphere. You can still sponsor us until the end of September here

Helping Hands Help Out

Huge thanks to Helping Hands - Tunbridge Wells.

The team, part of the National Citizen Service, organised several collections and events to raise funds and collect food for us.

They raised an amazing £1,688.61 and then spent all the money to help us fill our stock shortfall at our unit!

Nationwide Community Match


Huge thanks to all the Nationwide Building Society customers who nominated and voted for us in the Community Match programme in branches.

We are really happy to have been nominated and to be voted the winning charity for the Southern Counties area.

In total we won a fantastic £600 including £100 for being short listed...

Tesco Collection

Huge thanks to the guys from the Tesco stores in Tunbridge Wells and Pembury for holding a fantastic collection for us at the Victoria Shopping Centre.

We collected an amazing 1,066.50 Kg of food and £669.76 so thank you to everyone who donated..

Our Latest Stats

We have published our finalised statistics for 2015-2016. The number of referrals is up 38% and the number of people provided with emergency provisions is up 34% year on year.

21st May - 27th May 2016

Congratulations to TN2 and the Sherwood Partnership who retained their title in the End Hunger Games 2016.

We raised a total of £351.87 so thanks to everyone who took part.

Quiz Night - 21 May 2016

Thank you to everyone who came to support Nourish at our Quiz night on May 21st. We raised a fantastic £1,133.45 and had a great time doing so.

Our New Funders

Huge thanks to our new funders.

Huge thanks to the Skinners' Company Lady Neville Charity for their grant to purchase new industrial scales plus an electric socket for our unit at Big Yellow.


Huge thanks to Sport Relief Community Cash 2016 via Kent Community Foundation for funds which will pay for 7 new Clax folding trolleys for our volunteers to use when packing, sorting and delivering.

TW Scouts Collection

For the third year running, Tunbridge Wells Scouts supported Nourish at their annual St. George's Day Celebration on 24th April.

This year was the biggest collection yet with an amazing 285kgs of food weighed into our unit.

Fantastic collection guys, thank you all for your support.

Nourish School Food Drive

Our New Funders

Huge thanks to the Royal Tunbridge Wells Round Table for funding our third unit at Big Yellow for 2016 - 2017.


Huge thanks to The Brook Trust Fund For Kent via Kent Community Foundation for funds which will be used for an admin assistant, fresh food vouchers and to help fund the cost of our Operations Manager working on our expansion project into Tonbridge.

Duke Of Edinburgh Volunteering at Nourish

January 16th saw the first shift of D of E volunteers join the Nourish team.

Currently three boys from Skinners School and a year 10 student from Bennett Memorial volunteer every third Saturday with an additional year 7 Bennett student.

The team got straight down to work on their first shift tackling over 30 crates of food and managing to give all three units a spring clean and organised several parcels ready to go out on the following Monday.

The funds will enable us to keep offering much needed support to those in crisis in Tunbridge Wells and the surrounding areas.

Christmas 2015 at Nourish

Huge Thanks to everyone who donated and helped Nourish over the Christmas period.

Huge thanks to both Joint Ventures In Property in Southborough and a private donor for their huge generosity in providing the funding and food for us to provide our Christmas parcels. They donated Turkeys and all the trimmings for our food parcels.Alongside collections from several local companies, this enabled us to deliver some great Christmas food parcels to 46 families and 21 individuals in crisis over the Christmas week.

In total, we collected over 2.3 tonnes of food and over £650 in cash donations.

Harvest 2015 At Nourish

This year's Harvest festival has truly been overwhelming with almost 30 different schools, churches and organisations donating food and funds.

We collected an amazing 7,157.31Kg of food and provisions plus a fantastic £1,748.55 in donations.

Nourish Dragon Boat

What a fantastic day! Volunteers and trustees took to the water to raise funds for Nourish on 12th September.

We managed to raise a fantastic £2,740.17 so a huge thank you to everyone that took part and who sponsored our rowers!

Childrensalon Dragon Boat

Nourish would like to thank Childrensalon for raising an amazing £2,420.00 by rowing in this years' Dragon Boat Festival at Bewl Water on 12th September.

We Are Now Lottery Funded

Nourish is very excited to announce that we have received a grant from the Big Lottery Fund for £4,064.

The funding will be used to help pay for volunteer expenses, a tablet and mobile phone package and petrol costs for food collection and delivery. This will help facilitate our expansion into Tonbridge.

Childrensalon Collection

Thanks go to everyone at team Childrensalon who collected a fantastic 314.2kg of food. They also donated £200 which was spent to buy another 217.7kg of food to help replenish our reserves.

Tesco Collection

Huge thanks to all the staff and customers at Tesco Metro, Tesco St. Johns and Tesco Southborough who got in the spirit and helped us collect an amazing 367.4kg of food.

Volunteer Thank You Lunch

A great turn out this week as Nourish said thank you to all our wonderful volunteers.

Our aim as an organisation is to support the vulnerable in our society; those in crisis that need a support net and without our volunteers we couldn't do what we do.

The board of trustees would like to say a huge thank you to everyone who gives up their time to help our local community.
