Corporate Support

You can support Nourish in so many ways from one off events, employee fundraising, food collections or supporting us longer term by becoming a charity of the year partner.

We can help to deliver great fundraising, volunteering and sponsorship opportunities to get your staff involved in a great local charity helping their neighbours who are in crisis.

It is great for local companies to support a cause so close to home. You can really motivate your staff and support your local community at the same time. You can support us by collecting food and raising money.

Here’s how you can help:

  • Hold a regular food collection at your organisation,
  • Fundraise for Nourish by holding a one off event or
  • Work even closer with Nourish as your selected charity of the year.

Find out more by downloading our corporate pack.

Corporate Fundraising

Motivate, engage and unite your staff with unique fundraising events and challenges that will enable your company to help us reach people in crisis.

We are currently developing a fundraising pack to help us support your staff with fundraising resources and tips and do our best to attract positive press coverage

Food Collections and #FirstFriday

Do a one off food collection at your place of work or join our #FirstFriday scheme and we can provide you with one of our new food collection bins, leaflets and posters for your business premises.

#FirstFriday enables us to have targeted regular food donations to fill gaps in our stock where needed. Find out how you can sign up your business and do a monthly food collection here

Corporate Volunteering

As a voluntary organisation, we are able to offer our corporate partners a number of opportunities for staff to give their time or expertise to support our work helping people in crisis.

Short term volunteering opportunities include:

Helping out at our unit at Big Yellow, Tunbridge Wells.

You could help to sort and weigh in donations, help with stock rotation or get really involved and help with one of our deep cleans!

Event Volunteering

There are several opportunities each year to get your staff involved at our events including..

  • - Bag packing at local supermarkets,
  • - Stalls at school fairs,
  • - Annual dragon boat race

Charity Of The Year

Making Nourish your Charity of the Year means you’ll not only be able to help your local foodbank raise the vital funds that it needs to support the most vulnerable people within our community, you’ll also create a team atmosphere for your staff as you work together to achieve your goal.

It doesn’t matter whether you’re a small team or a large multinational company, there’s a multitude of ways you can get involved in making Nourish your Charity of the Year! We can work with you to find different options to help support your company’s corporate social responsibility programme, engage your team and make it fun too.

There are many company-wide benefits to making Nourish your Charity of the Year:

  • -Shows your staff, customers and potential customers your company’s commitment to being active in the heart of a local community issue
  • -Promotes team building
  • -Creates positive PR opportunities.

We’ve outlined below some of the different ways in which you can provide support. We’re happy to come along and talk to your staff about what Nourish does, how we work and the difference you can make

Business boxes

Having a Nourish collection pod in your reception or staff area is a great way for you to show your support for a local charity. We can collect these as often as you like, at a time to suit you. We’ll provide you with a Certificate to show staff how much monies you have raised.

Corporate days

Nourish delivers on average between 30 and 50 food parcels each week from our base at the Big Yellow Self Storage on the industrial estate. We rely on a team of volunteers to sort out donations, pack foodbags and deliver to those in need, but there are times when we need a bit of extra help in processing large donations, sorting out our 800+ square feet of storage and just making sure we rotate stock quickly enough so nothing goes to waste. We can arrange days where your team can come together to help – not only will they find out how Nourish works first-hand, they’ll get enormous satisfaction in seeing the immediate impact they can make!

Food donations

Last financial year, Nourish provided enough food for 28,000 meals – that’s a lot of food! We can’t do it without the generous donations from people in our community. Organising regular food collections is a fantastic way to help; some companies organise a donation for the first Friday of every month, others do special collections to see us through tough times in the year - we’ll also come and collect donations at a time that works for you!

Fundraising fun

Get your team fired up to fundraise! There are so many different ways you can do this, we’ve had to produce another pack stuffed full of ideas, so you’re sure to find something that can get them motivated and engaged.

Give as you earn

Give as you warn or Payroll giving is a tax-free way for UK tax payers to make regular tax-free donations to Nourish straight from their salary before tax is deducted. It costs Nourish the equivalent of £3 to provide a meal for someone in need, so signing up staff to donate £3 - the price of a large cup of take away coffee - each month can go a long way to help us help others.

Supporting Nourish initiatives

It’s not all down to you, Nourish runs a number of different initiatives throughout the year that you can come along and support.

These include:

  • -Dragon boat racing at Bewl Water – providing rowers to the Nourish team who can then be sponsored by the company, or even having a company team raise sponsorship in addition to the Nourish team
  • -Buying a company table at the annual Nourish Casino Night or quiz nights. These are usually available as tables of 10 – or you could even run your own quiz night/race night and donate the proceeds to Nourish!
  • -Donating raffle and auction prizes for events, such as our Casino or quiz nights
  • -Buying Nourish Christmas Cards to send to clients is not only a way of demonstrating your support for Nourish, it also helps raise awareness of the work we do.

How we can help you

We can provide:

  • -Support materials for your fundraising, such as posters and donation stations
  • -Our logo for use on your own materials for the year
  • -Support in promoting and publicising your efforts through the local press
  • -A dedicated page on our website to promote your activities, alongside a visual totaliser of funds raised/foods donated
  • -Publicity for your company via our quarterly newsletter
  • -A Nourish Trustee to come and speak to your staff or to show support at one of your fundraising events
  • -An end of year presentation at your company offices, with publicity through our website and local media
  • -A bespoke feature for use for internal publicity purposes.

Sponsorship

Nourish holds a number of different events each year, offering multiple opportunities for corporate sponsorship and awareness.

Or why not organise your own event, invite your clients and donate the monies raised to Nourish? Alternatively, you can sponsor essential Nourish equipment.

Sponsor an event

Nourish runs a number of different events through the year, such as quiz nights and race nights. Your sponsorship can help cover the costs of the event, go towards prizes and can generate publicity and PR opportunities for you.

Run your own event

Why not run your own event, co-badge it with Nourish and donate the monies raised to those in need, all the while raising your profile with clients? Events can include golf days, wine tastings, film nights, BBQs, sponsored walks, for example.

Sponsor materials

You can also sponsor specific items that can help us with fundraising and awareness, such as the production of printed leaflets and posters, or having branded T-shirts and fleeces at events. We have some organisations that sponsor our storage units for the year. Every little bit makes a difference to us!

How we can help you

We can provide:

  • Ideas for events
  • Our logo for use on your own materials
  • Support in promoting and publicising your efforts through the local press
  • A feature on our website and inclusion in our quarterly newsletter.

Childrensalon

Nourish is very excited to be working with Childrensalon and our thanks go out to every member of staff.

We have been working alongside each other since 2015 and staff often arrange internal food collections and volunteer at our unit at Big Yellow. Staff also participate in the annual Tonbridge dragon boat race to raise funds for Nourish. On top of all this we are working together to hold our 3rd annual fundraiser.

We are also honoured to be one of the first recipients of a monthly donation from the new Childrensalon charity.
