Sweetwoods Park Golf Club
The Men’s and Ladies’ Captains of Sweetwoods Park Golf Club, an active, Mixed Golf Club on the Kent and Sussex borders are pleased to announce that they have selected Nourish Community Foodbank as their chosen Charity for 2018-2019.
They will be running various fun events and activities throughout the year to raise funds for Nourish.
Captain’s Jo & Mike agreed that the criteria for their choice of Captain’s Charity should be:
- Locally based in the immediate area
- Contributions to be more than just financial
- Impact of our fundraising to be measurable
- Ability to interact directly
"Nourish ticked all our boxes. We look forward to supporting them and their partners to make 2018/19 a successful year."
Sweetwoods Golf Course 2018 Captain's Charity Day
Huge thanks to Jo and Mike for organising such an amazing event. Over 90 golfers taking part in a fantastic charity day with an 18 holes Pairs Better Ball Stableford competition followed by a 2 course meal, raffle and auciton all in aid of Nourish.
The day raised a fantastic £6,285 for Nourish!
Walking the South West Coast Path
Paul Eames has undertaken an epic 630 mile walk along the South West Coastal Path on behalf of Sweetwoods Golf Club in order to raise money for Nourish and he did it in an amazing 41 days without a rest day!!
It is Britain's Longest National Trail at 630 miles. The whole trail has 115,000 feet of ascent / descent equivalent to going up and down Mount Everest 4 times!
Paul is thrilled to have exceeded his target of £2,000, and when we spoke to him the balance stood at over £2,200 with some donations still coming in.

Additional internal fundraising efforts have raised a further £2,450 to date.
