Times are hard. Demand for food from Nourish remains very high. At the same time, our food donations have fallen significantly and to make up the shortfall we are having to purchase more food. These extra costs come on top of the charity’s operating costs, which are all rising too.
We need your financial support. It does make a difference. Please donate to us if you can.

Text Giving Terms and conditions

Text donation is an easy way to give. With this service the money is taken from your mobile phone account or pre-pay balance and paid to us by your network provider.

Nourish Community Foodbank will receive 100% of your text donation. You may also be charged for one text message each time you text us at your network provider rates. The charge will show on your bill.

If you would like to remain completely anonymous to Nourish Community Foodbank, please add NO INFO at the end of your text.

Our text-to-donate service is powered by Donr, a tech-for-good organisation that builds technology to handle the challenges charities face and inspire their fundraising efforts. Donr’s website can be found here: https://www.donr.com/

When you donate via text, you’ll receive a reply from Nourish thanking you for your donation. This text will include a helpline number for Donr – if you have any questions regarding your text donation, contact Donr by email at hello@donr.com or phone 0333 4444 777 or visit their FAQs page at: https://www.donr.com/information-for-charity-supporters

Please ensure you spell the SMS keyword MEAL5 or FOOD5 carefully, and that you enter the correct shortcode (70085). Always get the bill payer’s permission. You must be 16 years or over to send a text donation.

Nourish Community Foodbank cannot accept any responsibility whatsoever for any technical failure or malfunction or any other problem with any mobile telephone network or line, system, server, mobile provider or otherwise which may result in any text being lost or not properly received.

Your donation may be eligible for Gift Aid. Donr may contact you on the mobile number you used to give you the opportunity to add Gift Aid to your donation. If you visit a webpage to submit your details you may incur charges from your network provider, as with any mobile browsing.

Donate through Payroll Giving

Payroll Giving is a way of giving money to charity and the taxman gives a little too, so for every £1 you give, HMRC donate another 25p. Employers use specialist agencies like Charities Trust, Charitable Giving, Benevity or Charities Aid Foundation to organise it. Ask your employer how you can support Nourish tax efficiently.
